I spend a lot of time on the road and like to try different places to eat. Thai being a favourite with Green Curry Chicken at the top of the list.
I’ve tried it in many cities, often relying on Google to find me the best place.
Earlier tonight was no different…
A search for Thai Restaurants yielded many choices. I settled on a little place called Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine. Close to downtown Ottawa with tables right beside the sidewalk.
We arrived around six, not a soul in the place…
We ordered Green Curry Chicken and sticky rice. Easily, one of the best Green Curry Chicken’s I have ever had. I said as much to the people walking by, debating whether to enter… they did.
The interesting thing about this dish is that it is slightly different wherever you go. I’ve seen zucchini, beans, cauliflower, broccoli, tofu and even potatoes. The green curry is sometimes thick, sometimes thin, hot or mild. The chicken can be in strips or little chunks. Not big on tofu though.
The photo above does not do the dish justice… the presentation was beautiful and very tasty. It goes to show you that you can’t judge a restaurant by the amount of patrons.
If you happen to be in Ottawa, around Elgin Street, check them out… you won’t be sorry.
