Latte vs Americano

Way back in 2010, while working at the Olympics, I got into lattes. Usually from Starbucks, but not always.  Before that I was dedicated to Tim Hortons… medium, one milk, no sugar please. Their coffee started to taste different, somehow worse, I couldn’t explain it. A good friend suggested lattes and I’ve never looked back……

day 4, still in vancouver…

(originally this post said “day 5…”, that was a mistake, supposed to be day 4… thanks Chip!) More training today, included a field trip to China Town. After work, went site seeing again… this time to Burnaby Mountain Park where we saw all the totem poles surrounded by one of the great views surrounding Vancouver. …

First order of business today is to meet everyone on the “Wireless Team”.  Breakfast was provided, introductions all round, and some minor speeches.  It’s quite a team, lots of good people.  More training following the meet & greet. The adventure starts in Vancouver with some training, followed by some more training in Whistler where I’ll be stationed for the Games.  I am looking forward to meeting people from…

2,544 hours & counting…

Getting excited! Thought I would share another countdown with you… there are 2,544 hours to go until I leave for my assignment at the 2010 Olympic Games.  The actual games start in 2,808 hours (February 12th, 2010). Fact: did you know that it is improper to say; “Olympics”?  I didn’t… if you want to “plural”…
