First order of business today is to meet everyone on the “Wireless Team”. Breakfast was provided, introductions all round, and some minor speeches. It’s quite a team, lots of good people. More training following the meet & greet.
Went to pickup Olympic Accreditation only to find mine had an error and had to be redone… come back tomorrow I was told.
I was issued my own vehicle to use while in Vancouver and Whistler, a Ford F250… have you seen these things? They’re HUGE! It will probably take several days to get used to. Later on in the night we parked underground at our hotel with only 2″ left to spare… very close.
The gang went over to Granville Island via the water taxi, looked around, had an authentic burrito for supper, very, very good, washed it down with one of the best latte’s I have ever had!
Dropped in at the Granville Brewery to taste beer. At the tap room we were able to order four different styles of brew in 6oz glasses. Good beer? Not bad, the chocolate beer was unlike anything I’ve ever had, you’ll have to try it out.
Back to the hotel via the water taxi… good night!
