mar.16.2010 salem to vancouver…

Driving from Salem, Oregon to Vancouver today… Pat’s turn to drive. The Oregon portion wasn’t nearly as scenic as our run south along the Pacific… I highly recommend that drive.  The drive took us through Portland then oddly enough; Vancouver… unfortunately not the one we were looking for.  We also passed through Olympia and Seattle…

mar.4.2010 steveston…

feb.3: Left the Westin Grand this morning… two days early!  Everyone thought I was NUTS leaving this posh hotel for a second-rate one in the outskirts.  I had my motives though… went to stay with Pat to get ready for the Odyssey, our trip to California. Had supper in Steveston… a quaint fishing village near…

mar.2.2010 vancouver & party…

Ran out of time to post yesterday… combined a couple days, not much going on anyway. Mar.01: Took the Sea to Sky highway back to Vancouver… is there any other way?  I have no idea.  Made several stops for photo ops… switched drivers at one point since I had an important call to take.  Back…

We headed downtown to take…

After work, went site seeing again… this time to Burnaby Mountain Park where we saw all the totem poles surrounded by one of the great views surrounding Vancouver. …

day 3 in vancouver…

First order of business today is to meet everyone on the “Wireless Team”.  Breakfast was provided, introductions all round, and some minor speeches.  It’s quite a team, lots of good people.  More training following the meet & greet. Went to pickup Olympic Accreditation only to find mine had an error and had to be redone……

heading out west…

Got up really early this morning (3:30am) to start my adventure out West. Started with an invigorating ride on the airport limo, followed by a long delay waiting for our airline to sort out some connection problems in Calgary.  Flew into Calgary and was told my flight was canceled and had to wait four hours…
