I mentioned in a previous post that I’ve attempted this resolution twice before and failed. What’s different this time? Nothing actually, which means something needs to change. When I sat back and really thought about it, I realized that ‘time’ and ‘access’ were my biggest ‘excuses’. Blaming time was lame, anyone, regardless of their busy schedules can find a few minutes a day to work on something they enjoy. Access these days is not much of an issue either with a cell tower (or Starbucks) around every corner.
Then it hit me! I needed a routine; brushing your teeth, going to the gym and playing soccer are some that I’ve been successful at. Why? Simply put, I enjoyed doing them and the results were gratifying. Admittedly, brushing your teeth isn’t really enjoyable, more of a necessity, but still gratifying 😀
So there you have it, a routine… simple right? I’m an early riser so I resolve to set aside some time one or two mornings a week to work on my blog. Also, I will take part in the ’10 Days to a Better Blog!’ challenge on the ‘Desk’ forum. Nothing like a little peer pressure to push me along.
